 Individual, Couple & Family Therapy

About Me,

line

I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with the State of California Board of Behavioral Sciences. License #46966

I received my M.A. degree in Counseling Psychology from Santa Clara University.

I have experience providing services for individuals, couples and families dealing with emotional, behavioral and relationship issues including alternative lifestyles; infidelity; anxiety; depression; grief and loss; isolation and loneliness; life transition; self-esteem and stress management.

I have extensive training and experience working with survivors of sexual assault and childhood sexual abuse. Over the past 8 years, I have worked with rape crisis organizations such as San Francisco Women Against Rape (SFWAR) and the YWCA Rape Crisis Center in San Jose as a crisis counselor and advocate.

I worked as a therapist in the San Jose School District for four years, where I found my interest and ability for working with adolescents, helping them negotiate the transition to adulthood and discovering who they are and what they want from their lives.

Throughout my life and career I have gained knowledge and experience working with others through their grief and loss. After experiencing my own pregnancy loss, I have worked with a number of clients who have terminated pregnancies for medical reasons as well as others who have dealt with different forms of pregnancy grief and loss.
